This page is dedicated in loving memory of our dear friend, Rick Johnson.

Johnson, Richard D. Age 68, of Champlin, died peacefully on Jan. 29, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer. Rick graduated from Duluth Central High School in 1964, and the University of Minnesota Duluth in 1969. He  taught English and German at Roosevelt Middle School in Blaine for 39 years, retiring in 2008. As a youth, he was active in scouting, receiving the Eagle Award. In the Twin Cities he was a member of the Coon Rapids Jaycees and served as President, District and Regional Director. He was President of the Anoka Toastmasters club earning many awards. More recently he served as President of the North Suburban Optimist Club, and Governor of the Dakotas-Manitoba-Minnesota District.
